Okay, we are biased!
After about 6 years in Singapore. We have packed up our memories and entered a not so booming yet exciting new country. Until we get our driver's license, we will not be New Yorkers but alas, this place can grow on you. All 5 of us, an unlikely yet loving couple, a 6th grader encyclopedia, a 4th grader who knows it all and a dare devil toddler. This is our life, our journal, our journey.

Song of the Week
If I were a butterfly, I'd thank you Lord for giving me wings.
If I were a robin in a tree, I thank you Lord that I could sing.
And if I were a fish in the sea, I'd wiggle my tail and giggle with glee
But I just thank you father, for making me "me".
Chorus
For you gave me a heart, and you gave me a smile,
You gave me Jesus and you made me your child,
And I just thank you Father for making me "me".
If I were an elephant, I'd thank you Lord by raising my trunk,
And if I were a kangaroo, you know I'd hop right up to you.
And if I were an octopus, I'd thank you Lord for my fine looks,
But I just thank you Father for making me "me".
If I were a wiggly wrom, I'd thank you Lord, that I could squirm
If I were a crocodile, I'd thank you Lord, for my big smile.
And if I were a fuzzy wuzzy bear, I'd thank you Lord for my fuzzy wuzzy hair,
But I just thank you Father for making me "me".
Letitia learnt two of the three verses of this song in one sitting at school and came back quickly to teach us. What joy! Hope you guys enjoy "thanking" God for who you are.
We are all well. Taking one day at a time while taking stock of our lives and what is meaningful to us. The girls helps us to be grounded and turning to God.

How do you explain "Time" to a 4 yr old?
For the last week, we've had recurring "episodes" of "I don't want to be 4 yrs old" from our precious No 1. We then had to enter into a lengthy talk of how each year...one grows older... from 4 to 5 to 6... "But when I become 5, I will be in cheh-cheh Rachel's class but she'll be 6 and will go to another class! Wahhh! Sniff!", wails Letitia.
I will offer anybody chocolates...if you can come to terms with the above dilemma and the explain to me...how to resolve the matter. My Letitia has been waiting a loooong time to turn 4. Why? So that she can go to PREP at big children's school. One of the many "big children" that she longs to be in the same class with is "cheh-cheh Rachel" from our Fortnightly Bible study group. To her dismay, she now sees this CC in the same school yard but with cooler bigger kids and not at all in her class (the CLASS concept is another of our battles!). "Why can't I be in her class when I turn 5???" Someone please explain?
Letitia's had a week of PREP and is into her 2nd week. She told me that a little boy keeps kicking her when it's quiet time and she doesn't like him. I told her to either tell the teacher and the teacher will deal with him. Today, she told me that the boy "listened to her" when she asked him to be nice. Phew!! I was just about to send in the SWAT team.... nobody messes with my girls....not yet, not ever!! (hehe!)
Mathena's enjoyed (at least I have) the 2 days of mommy-mathena days while L's in school. She sleeps better but never enough as I have to wake her to go pick up her sis! I get to do "activities" one on one with her and just "melt" while I stare and sigh! (Watching her grow as the seconds go by). She is now a strong willed and openly "challenging" monkey. She is quite tough skinned but loves life to the fullest. She seems to think that her role in our family is to be the "courtjester". She deliberately tumbles just to get a reaction, she'll hide her face in any cloth (floor mat??) to play "peek-a-boo"! and she'll even laugh "ha-ha-harrr" like a pirate when we are all quiet! We love her to bits!

Letitia's 4th Birthday
"Happy Birthday to Me, ...happy birthday to letitia!"
Life goes on and Letitia turns 4.
Congratulations little one. You may now tell people you are FOUR! You've been our pride and joy and life would have been quite grey if it wasn't for the blessing of you.
Mommy and daddy love you to bits! We praise GOD for you and Mathena day-by-day.

This is the way....with " ****** "
For those who's been through terms like "downsizing", "consolidation" and "restructure", we sympathise with you!
This is the 2nd time (same company) that we are told to pack up. This time round, not much options except to look elsewhere and move on. These are tough times and we are still in "limbo" as to what and when it will happen. There were enough media coverage over the weekend though we were told to keep it under the "covers" till all the deals are made!
Alex and myself are pressing on to rely on GOD and to keep the faith that the path ahead is predestined! Pray for us. We will keep you posted of more outcome. We ourselves are in the dark as to when the "cut" will occur and how we fair.... WE appreciate your thoughts and all your kind calls.
Meanwhile, life goes on. Letitia had her first week of school, I have my first week of driving around like a headless chook, Letitia turns 4 and Mathena's enjoying Gymbaroo!
