2012 Autumn in Pictures

I wanted to capture Autumn and the changing colours..these is not the full bloom of it as the pictures cannot justify the true beauty of the bright and glorious colors.
This is the red bridge we cross at least twice a week to attend church and its activities. I find it so matching to Autumn.
This is Autumn in my neighborhood. The foliage is amazing!
Some trees just lights up in 'flames'!
Different forest areas brings different feels.
There's a spectacular tree opposite my house and it truly comes alive!
One thing I am learning to appreciate is the fact that EVERYONE add a tad of deco to the seasons and feels great to see them celebrate the change of weather.
Will do another post on the different 'events' involve with autumn. Busy season with lots to do and see!

2012 November in Pictures

I think the highlight of each month are the birthdays. This November we celebrated Alex's with an ice cream cake and a meal in a Chinese restaurant for lunch. We discovered 'Carvel'!
Not knowing how to use the fire place plus landlord not allowing, I decided to add candles to it to give our living room a 'warmer' effect! It worked well..
One of the many highlights of school here is the opportunity to learn Spanish. I have found the way they teach is great and very practical to help the kids remember the words and phrases.
The cold months have arrive and we dug out our Asian hotpot (as known as steamboat)..hits the spot well!
One is not ready for winter until one can get their feet protected from the cold and wet.
And yes, the yearbook photos arrived and the girls look beautiful. I can collect this throughout the years to come.
Ahhh...15 years of being married to a wonderful man and our first date in NYC after a hiatus of 8months.
I started a tradition of dating my girls. We do girls study plus have a nice cuppa!
Its definately a season of flowers. We also found out our neighbors run a florist business!
In Autumn the apples are aplenty. Learning to make apple crumble seems appropriate! Yummz with ice cream!
The SUPER storm Sandy came and went. We were so so grateful that it passed us and we were unscarthed. We can't say the same for all around us though. The neighbors had trees fell on their homes, their cars and properties. There were power outages up to 2weeks and many near the coastal part of NJ and NY lost their homes and even lives. The state of emergency is declared and till now, funds are being raised to help people recover and move on. This will be an 'unforgettable' experience for our family in years to come.

2012 December in pictures

Am thankful for Facebook, I can easily load my pics. These are December in pictures to end our 2012.
Letitia ended her 1st Trimester with a holiday choral concert and we all enjoyed an evening of lovely music.
Being here, making and baking comes as a tradition to many family. We started ginger bread house decorating as ours.
All the kids wanted was a WHITE Christmas as their first. We attended a nice candle lit Christmas eve service.
Yes, it snow on Christmas eve, making it the first WHITE Christmas is 2-3yrs here.
WE had fun cooking, preparing, doing devotions (reading the bible) and building a nativity set.
We were invited to spend Christmas dinner with the KAPADIAS, so lovely!
My little blessing since we moved here,  a women's bible study group!
