After about 6 years in Singapore. We have packed up our memories and entered a not so booming yet exciting new country. Until we get our driver's license, we will not be New Yorkers but alas, this place can grow on you. All 5 of us, an unlikely yet loving couple, a 6th grader encyclopedia, a 4th grader who knows it all and a dare devil toddler. This is our life, our journal, our journey.

My PRIDE & JOY!
Did I tell you guys that I have been spending scores of hours lifting this set of outdoor furnitures into a GLORIOUS state? And...NO, I did not just paint over it! It's all scrapped down to it's metallic base and JUST look at it now! Wow!

Wow- that's my grandparent's outdoor set! Childhood memories of banging my head on the edge of the table...
You may NOT believe it but the chairs were thrown out as dead with about 6 coats of badly done white paint on them. I saw them, decided to revamp them. Then exactly a week later, a neighbour of mine saw the chairs minus the table and told me of hers sitting/rusting in her verandah, then,..wa-laah! I have a set (now worth S$399 here) to enjoy.
The amazing thing is, before all these, I was actually 'praying' for an outdoor set to be 'recycled'. 2 years in Singapore, we see a lot of furnitures thrown out, most still in pretty good condition. I was kinda hoping for one....and this is my answered prayer.
I got the most joy by DOING IT UP. My mom enjoyed half of it when it was not finished. It now belongs to my excellent neighbour who uses it to host young people before bible study! Amazing huh?
