Happy Birthday Princess Mathena

How time lifes....it's that time of the year ALREADY...and to think that
6 years ago, Mathena was in hurry to come see the world that she only
took 3 hours to come out, from start to finish!

Upon her 'sweet' request, we had a little gathering of friends (1 from Ballet,
2 from her ex Kindy) plus their families over for an afternoon tea get together.
I promised that they will be NO games, No entertainment, NO deliberate hoo-has
and they STILL had a fantastic time with the toys at home, with each other's
time and friendship.
She still has a love hate relationship with her older sister Letitia. She'll love and miss Letitia one moment, then totally drive her up the wall, the very next! She STILL has the ability to melt the hardest of hearts and so far, has gotten us all wound up in her little not so chubby fingers.
Simple times and happy moments. We ALL as adults had a great time just catching up as well...
Mathena moved to Singapore when she was 2.5years old. The season of Dorothy the Dinosaur, dolls in strollers as well as chubby legs and eager absorbtion to what the world hs to offer. She's now a heart-grabbing, in your face, live the moment, NEVER let life pass her by-type little 6 year old who refuses to let 'No!' be an excuse for anything!
My prayer is that God will continue to mould her, guide and teach into her heart. To use her as a vessel sold out and passionate for HIM, for His Kingdom and beyond. She asked me for some passion fruit (from the market, she loves all sorts of fruits!) over dinner and when asked why, she said "I want to be passionate in all that I do!" And to that I say a loud AMEN!
...and yes, I am STILL proud to be her mommy, sigh!

Dearest Mathena, we're so proud of you! Our little baby is now six years old! I think the way you served others today was a wonderful bonus - making sure everyone had a piece of cake even though you couldn't wait to dig into yours...Happy Birthday. I pray that God will continue to make you a blessing to others! Daddy
