We've successfully survived another week of the above. We now have the CHAN grandparents and our CHUA grandma here under one roof. It's great to have them here as the more the merrier to distract little Mathena while I focus on getting from room to room to pack and sort.
We've had our little "chat" with Letitia and praise GOD, she took it very well. We deliberately omitted many negative things but she was smart enough to understand the consequence of the move. Tears flowed but was soon counteracted by the mention of Satay sticks in abundance, bike rides with our NEW bikes, as well as warmer weather to allow for more opportunity for wearing sun-dresses and dresses in general (our girls are very girly). There are still lots of issues we are yet to discuss and chat about but we are working at it. She asked GOD to look after the animals in the Night Safari Zoo so that by the time we get there, they are healthy enough for her to see (she is used to seeing empty cages in our local zoo here!)
We've been given more definate dates now. We will leave for Singapore on the 6th July, Thursday. This will allow us to have a Friday and the weekend there before Alex starts work on Monday. The 2-3rd July will be out packing/removals day and 4th, will be our cleaning up the house day. We are planning to move out of the house on Monday so the girls will not be too stress while all this is happening.
We are holding YET another garage sale on the 17th June which is next Saturday at 368 Princes Highway, Corrimal around 8am-1pm. This will be our last and we hope to sell all of our left over things. We've had very good responses for all the big furnitures and most people are happy to only pick them up the weekend before we go. There are still stuff that NEEDS to go so if anyone is interested...do make an offer and we'll take it!! They HAVE to go, we have no truck to cart them away, it will save us a lot of time and money.
There are still a lot of final detail stuff we have to handle. Everyone is asking if we are excited. I am saying a strong NO! As the work is yet to be done, and we have to juggle PLENTY! I am going out asking for as much help as possible to help us juggle especially nearer the last 4 days of packing, loading and cleaning.
Continue to uphold us in prayer, we've been really encouraged by your thoughts and prayers. We have seen many "invisible acts" done by our GOD to help us through even the most difficult of tasks.
