In reality, everyday is laundry day. We can't leave our clothes till the next day as they "stink" and the humidity breeds something chronic.All the way...down from the 10th level. The bamboo poles are slotted into these built in holes.
Yes, I am now quite happy to use the bamboo poles hanging off the ledge of our window. Have a look at my perspective....it is in fact quite a muscle building task and I have to be VERY careful!

Girl, better becareful. Extra, extra careful. I really respect those Singaporean women. How on earth did they managed to haul the heavy bamboo pole with all the clothes on it.
Alright I will never again complain about my hills hoist being in the shade and taking a day and a half to dry clothes. Tropical stinkiness and bamboo poles win.
