Days Come & Days Go!

How time flies when one is having FUN!

After a long anticipation, lots of whisperings and plenty of preparation, Mother's day finally dawned today. My good husband woke and literally jumped out of bed on the first call of his alarm. I was suppose to stay in bed...

Later, as I stepped out of the bathroom, Mathena came bearing gifts into our bedroom, cheery faced and butter-mouthed with good husband holding a plate of omelette following behind. My breakfast! A lovely thought but I was soon told it was to be shared with the whole family AND we had to rush for our weekly 8am church service.

At church, all moms were thanked and praised etc. I was touch in another level within my heart as I trully felt I could do better. Not so much the things, timings and running arounds but importantly the praying for my girls. Lord! Help me build a life of prayer to bring these two precious ones to your arms. I truly believe that ALL things come and are predestined by GOD, my kids life included!

We came home after a bit of running around at the shops (Letitia had to pick up her FIRST pair of Myopic spectacles!) I was feeling kinda down with the fact that my beauty-queen of a daughter will have to live the rest of her life with the annoyance and inconvenience of prescription glasses!!

I wasn't cooking tonight and we ended up at our favourite Japanese Ramen family restaurant (Ajisen Ramen) and had a nice ending to the day. My sweet muffins went to bed and even remembered to wish DADDY (??), 'Happy Mother's day'!!

The best part the evening was when we finished dinner, Letitia asked when Father's day will be and when will it be daddy's turn. Our little 3 yo quickly followed without a blink by asking, "WHEN is CHILDREN'S day?!?!?"

Happy Mother's day to all the moms (my mom in UK), grandmoms, mom-to-bes, moms-in-heart, moms-in-spirit and mom-like women. GOD Bless you in ALL your roles to love the ones around you!

Excuse me while I return to cleaning, cooking, teaching, mothering and life as per usual.

Happy Mother's Day Sarah! Here's a Mother's Day trivia: the "salary" of a SAHM (stay at home mom) is equivalent to 2 full-time jobs :) it goes to show a mother's gift is priceless!

I thought there is actually a children's day, at least in Singapore. There was a day last year that the child care centre was shut becuase it was children's day.
