It's been one whole week. We've had the lovely long Easter weekend where the girls saw Alex for a whole consecutive 4 days. They loved it and could not believe it when on the 3rd day, daddy was still around to be with them.
We did some pretty mild stuff. The best one was the wedding we went to but more so, we hung around at home, watch tv, did lots of gardening, went to the parks, ate fish and chips and slept in. We switched off our alarms for 4 days and did not come to our senses till 7am. How heavenly is that??
The girls were busy still. We had friends over, we visited friends, went to play areas, did loads of stuff on the dining table, ate lots of chocolate (easter eggs) and Letitia did a stint of "research stuff" for the uni. All in the name of science, she spent 3 hours watching tv, colouring in, doing puzzles, playing with games like indoor golf, bouncing balls, throwing different types of things around a room, climbing stairs, did housecleaning with brushes and brooms, demonstrated her grooming skills, received a new toothbrush and a comb, played PS2 and ran on a threadmill. These are just the stuff I remember but her 3 hours was jampacked with activities to measure her activeness, her O2 and CO2 levels to drawup plans for kids to prevent obesity in children under 5 yo. She had heaps of fun. She was exhausted and she even went swimming an hour later.
Mathena has had soo much fun having her Letitia at home again. They play very well together and though still fight for the same things, they love each other to bits and will search each other out when they wake. She's now learning to do big children writing on workbooks. She's glueing almost everything she gets her hands on and she's enjoying the "nip-nips" with her scissors. This 2.5yo has lost a lot of her sweet innocence as she's in a hurry to be 5yo!! She now declares that she is "Mathena Zoe CHAN Ying-Chi" with an aussie accent!
Loving the holidays! Loving my babies!
After about 6 years in Singapore. We have packed up our memories and entered a not so booming yet exciting new country. Until we get our driver's license, we will not be New Yorkers but alas, this place can grow on you. All 5 of us, an unlikely yet loving couple, a 6th grader encyclopedia, a 4th grader who knows it all and a dare devil toddler. This is our life, our journal, our journey.
