Just a really quick note to send my apologies..... life here has been real hectic.
We are now in the deep of preparing for the family trip of our life....to UK!
Yep, this entire mob (minus the turtles) will be heading off to Heathrow next Tuesday for up to a month. In that time, there's Scotland- Aberdene, Bristol, Paris and the entire LONDON city to cover. It's going to be a cultural(musicals, ballets), artistic (photography) journey as much as it is a break from the 33deg temps and humidity here.
Meanwhile, the kids have to get their activities up to scratch, Letitia just had her extended 6th Birthday over the first week of March, Grandma CHUA arrived, church commitments and loads of things to get as gifts (local asian products) for the trip. The girls are only informed of about 20% of things planned (just in case) but they too know that this is a BIG thing.
We just recovered from the Chinese New Year germs, and a new set seems to be looming and I am desperately getting the girls plugged into Vit C supplements so as not to have sick kids on a 14 hour flight. So many details, so much juggling and heaps of planning.
Counting the days...
My mobile will be roaming and we'll still check emails. Alex is planning a "European" getaway just the two of us.... approx 36 hours without the girls and maybe a lovely romantic dinner (Italian cuisine and fine CHEAP wine!)
After about 6 years in Singapore. We have packed up our memories and entered a not so booming yet exciting new country. Until we get our driver's license, we will not be New Yorkers but alas, this place can grow on you. All 5 of us, an unlikely yet loving couple, a 6th grader encyclopedia, a 4th grader who knows it all and a dare devil toddler. This is our life, our journal, our journey.
